UPDATE – PROCEDURES FOR ALL GYMS

We have had to make some changes to how we are doing things regarding entry and exit and how we move around the gym.

We will be following government guidelines and from time to time we may need to make changes.  These will be highlighted on our social media pages for you all to see.

Please see below our new procedures for Gym 1

  • There will be a queuing system in place when you arrive at the gym. This will be clearly signed and entry will be through the fire doors by the trampoline.  Entry for parents will only be for Gym School parents of gymnasts under the age of 6.
  • Every child including any parent who will be viewing within the gym area, will have their temperature checked. This will be with the use of a none contact thermometer and will be done before entry into the centre.  If anybody’s temperature shows Amber, you will be asked to wait for 10 minutes, then it will be re checked.  If anybody’s temperature shows red, you will not be allowed entry into the gym and you will be advised to contact NHS Direct or follow government guidelines.
  • Your child will be part of a bubble along with their coach. The purpose of the bubble is to keep to small groups with the same gymnasts.  This will mean that if anybody within the bubble should show symptoms of COVID then the group will be unable to attend training for 2 weeks, but will revert back to full time Zoom sessions.  This is in line with Government guidelines.
  • Once your child has entered the gym, they will put their belongings in their one bag and use hand sanitiser before going to their first piece.
  • Your child will keep their bag and belongings with them at all times and will not be permitted to share any of their personal belongings/equipment.
  • After each rotation, the equipment will be fully cleaned down ready for the next group.
  • If your child needs to use the toilets there will be someone on hand to clean after each use. We would expect senior gymnasts to clean after use.
  • Your child will be exiting from the door at the end of the corridor next to gym 1.
