THREE South Essex gymnasts were crowned national champions and helped the East team to a silver medal at the NDP National Grade Finals in late May.

Scarlett Edge became overall Grade 4 champion, Maggie May Shepherd came out on top at Grade 3, and Sarah Coker Grade 2.

Coach Karen Nock said: “They all performed their routines excellently and this was an amazing achievement for the girls.”
