SOUTH ESSEX gymnast Jay Thompson was given the all-clear on Wednesday to return to the gym after his arm injury.
The 17-year-old had an operation in early September to repair damage caused by a dislocation in training during a floor routine.
It left him in a plaster cast, but he tweeted to tell everyone he had been given good news at the hospital today.
He said: “I’ll be back in the gym on Thursday. I’ll start with strength building and conditioning my arm, with a gradual build-up to full training.”
