SOUTH ESSEX’S Jade Woollard and Ruta Sulskis both finished in the top 10 at the Rhythmic English Championships.
The duo, who are both 11-years-old, were in action at the annual event at the GMAC centre in Birmingham on the weekend.
Both competed in the under-12 section, and Jade came fifth with a score of 29.100, while Ruta placed ninth with 25.400.
Jade was fourth in freestyle, fourth in clubs, and sixth in rope, as she just missed out on a medal.
Ruta was eighth in freestyle, ninth in clubs, and eighth in rope.
The pair are coached by Verity Adams and will now compete at the British Championships at Fenton Manor in Stoke-on-Trent this weekend.
Verity said: “We are now looking forward to a great weekend a the British Championships with Jade, Ruta and Elizabeth Packman all in action for us.
“Elizabeth is currently class one junior overall champion in disability.”
