Rhythmic girls win Group League, star at Espoir, and trial for British spot on action packed weekend in Stoke

SEGC’s Rhythmic girls won the Group League, impressed at the Espoir British Open, and trialled for the national squad on a busy weekend at the Fenton Manor Sports Complex (Nov 22-24).

An Eagles team of Rebecca Wright, Katie Bardwell, Zoe Harrison, Keira Miller, Connie Miller and Jade Woollard won Round 3 of the Elite Group League, and in doing so won the series overall.

In the National Espoir section SEGC’s Robins were joint fifth, with the Falcons third in the final National Junior standings.

At Elite Espoir level the Sparrows were fifth, and the Starlings were sixth in Elite Junior.

At the Espoir event, Ava Waller shone on her first outing at a national competition, and Rhiann Richardson improved on her showing from last year.

And on Friday at the venue in Stoke-on-Trent, Connie Miller, Jade Woollard and Rebecca Wight took part in a trial for the British Squad, and hope to get good news on that front before Christmas.
