Circus Skills

Jeff Davis with circus rig

OUR popular Circus Skills classes started in June 2015 and are for adults and children of all abilities.

A specialist rig for aerial hoop, static trapeze, corde lisse (rope) and silks was installed at our smaller gym at the Basildon Sporting Village in May 2015.

The times of our sessions are as follows:

Junior Circus (for 7 to 12 year-olds):
Beginners – Sundays 11-12pm
Beginners/Improvers – Sundays 12-1pm
Improvers/Intermediate – Sundays 1-2.30pm

Youth Circus (for 12 to 16 year-olds):
Intermediate/Advanced – Thursdays 8.30-10pm

Adult Circus (for 16-year-olds and over):
All Levels – Tuesdays – 8.30-10pm
All Levels – Wednesdays – 8.30-10pm

Please note that all of our Circus classes have a waiting list, so please call or email to register your interest now.

On our course qualified coaches teach the National Centre for Circus Arts’ curriculum on Aerial Circus Skills.

Each student will do three weeks on the four different circus disciplines and will have the opportunity to perform in various displays.

The project was initiated by senior advisory coach and former Olympic gymnast Jeff Davis (pictured above with the brand new rig).

The coaching team is led by Cara Noble and she is supported by Rebecca Moss, Rebecca Humphries and Erika Poole.
