MAX WHITLOCK is one of the contenders for this year’s BBC Sports Personality of the Year which is being held on Sunday (December 14).
The South Essex club star has been the most amazing ambassador for our sport this year not only by his competition results ranging from the English Championships to the Europeans, Commonwealths and then the Worlds but also by the way he promotes our sport and sets himself as a fantastic role model for younger gymnasts.
His head coach Scott Hann said: “I know the young gymnasts I coach would love to be the next Max Whitlock.
“Max always comes across as being passionate and caring about gymnastics and always has time for his supporters, fans and younger gymnasts.
“So we would like to ask and encourage you all to vote for Max on Sunday either by phoning during the TV programme or by registering on line.”
You can register to vote on this link and then vote on the day.
Hann added: “It would not only be thoroughly deserved for Max to win but would also be fantastic for our club, region and for our sport.
“A gymnast has never won Sports Personality of the Year and I can’t think of a better gymnast than Max to be the first.”
The club would also like to wish you all a fantastic Christmas and a great New Year.
