SOUTH ESSEX gymnasts got a warm welcome at St Luke’s Hospice after putting on an eye-catching display at their centre in Basildon.
Five boys and 11 girls, who are coached by Dave Rapley and Cara Noble, performed handstands, kicks, somersaults and twists in front of residents at the site in Nethermayne on Saturday, June 11.
The charity, which helps residents with life threatening or life limiting diseases, invited the club to take part in its annual fete.
Rapley said: “It was the second year we have done it and it was great to take part again.
“Our gymnasts put on displays in their hall and we got a very positive response from the those there to watch, which was nice to see.”
