SOUTH ESSEX SIZZLE AT RHYTHMIC BRITISH CHAMPIONSHIPS

SOUTH ESSEX’S two teams produced impressive displays for some great results at the 2014 Rhythmic British Team championships on the weekend.

The Espoir group finished fifth in a field of 13 teams at the national event at the University of Wolverhampton in Walsall.

They featured an individual hoop routine by Jade Woollard, which saw her claim a terrific third position, a ball duet by Jade and Connie Miller for fourth place, and a free trio display by Louisa Duff, Francesca Foster and Isla Sewell-Moore for eighth.

The junior team also acquitted themselves very well with an overall seventh placed finish.

In that section an individual ribbon routine by Rebecca Wright earned her third place, a club duet by Kiera Martinson and Keira Miller achieved eighth, and a ball trio by Rebecca Wright, Kiera Martinson and Keira Miller took them into fifth.

South Essex’s head coach for rhythmic gymnastics, Verity Adams, said: “It was another great weekend and we are very proud of all the girls, who all picked up great results.”
