Rhythmic round-up: National Grades Final, Group League, British Championships and London Cup

IT’S been a summer of success so far for SEGC’s Rhythmic groups with medals and awards at four high-profile competitions.

Dozens of gymnasts coached by Verity Adams, Rebecca Bunce and Danielle Paul excelled at the National Grade Finals, Round One of the Group League, British Championships and the London Cup.

Rachel Lattimer won Grade 8 overall silver – which included a gold in the Clubs section – at the National Grade Finals, and team-mate Jade Wollard was fifth at Grade 10 overall. SEGC’s Katie O’Connor took home Grade 10 Disability Apparatus gold.

At the Senior Group League event, SEGC’s Eagles were fourth after competing with Clubs and Ribbon, and the Robins seventh in the Elite Espoir section after Free and Ball events.

At the 2018 British Championships, SEGC’s Robins were sixth in the Elite Espoir all-around section, and second with Hoops. The club’s Senior group were fourth in the all-around competition.

There were also lots of medals and special awards at the London Cup, and SEGC’s Head of Rhythmic Verity Adams said: “Well done to all our gymnasts who have represented the club so far this summer. We’ve had some terrific results.”
