SOUTH ESSEX had three overall champions at the Pearls Competition at the Pipers Vale Gymnastics Club in early July.
The event in Ipswich saw younger gymnasts compete in the advanced, intermediate and novice categories.
South Essex had three overall champions over the weekend.
Elsie Shepherd (pictured above) won the Advanced Age 8 section with a score of 48.800 and came out on top in every piece of apparatus to take home five gold medals.
Lois Drummond was also crowned the champion in the Intermediate 8-9 age group (49.150) and had silver medals on vault and bars and a bronze on the beam.
Sienna McCoy took the Intermediate Age 7 title (49.550) and collected five gold medals from every piece of apparatus she competed on.
Annaelle Adeyemo earned a Novice Age 7 overall silver along with silver medals on bars and beam and a bronze on the vault.
Ocean-Raine Ross won overall silver medal in the Intermediate 8-9 Age Group with gold on vault and bars.
Eva Stimpson Cook was overall bronze winner in the Novice 8-10 Age Group, with gold medals on vault and bars.
Mia Walsh claimed a beam gold, Holly McDonagh a bars silver and Isabel Cartwright a beam bronze.
Felicity Wilson took bronze bars and floor, Lily Brice bronze on vault and bars and Nancy Fiddes a bronze on floor. Maggie Smith claimed a silver on beam.
Darcie Meechan, Daisy O’Connor, Sophie Haycock and Olivia Murray also competed with distinction for SEGC.
