Job Opportunity for a Women’s Artsitic Head Coach

   Job Vacancy – Women’s Artistic Head Coach

Salary £24,900 – £30,012 depending on experience and qualifications

South Essex Gymnastics Club is seeking to recruit a dedicated Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Coach to run the women’s gymnastics programme.  The job will be for 40 hrs per week.  Pay will depend on the applicant’s current qualification and experience.

 The appointed person will be responsible for the delivery of a world class coaching system for the elite section of the club whilst creating a programme to ensure that all levels of WA gymnasts and coaches are given the opportunity to fulful their potential.  They will need to be able to manage, develop and motivate the coaching team and be able to work well within a team of inspiring professionals.

 Applicants should ideally be of Women’s level 5, or willing to work towards this qualification within 1 year of appointment.  Have a minimum of 3 years experience coaching gymnastics in a club, school or local authority setting.  Excellent IT skills, enthusiasm and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential.

 The post is offered on a full time basis.  The post will be based within South Essex Gymnastics Club.  Travel and work within other clubs / venues may also be required.  The cantidate must be flexible as from time to time as the contracted hours may need to be adjusted to run an event / attend a camp / competition.

 Criteria

 The successful candidate should be able to manage a large number of staff, whilst able to take direction from Director of Coaching.

 The successful candidate and Assistant Head Coach will not be able to take holiday at the same time.

 The successful candidate must be creative and passionate and able to work with young children.  A current CRB check will be required.

 The successful candidate must show that they can work with a team of people sharing ideas and taking action on agreed tasks.

 The successful candidate must be prepared to assist with events that may take place at SEGC, or at other venues, that may possibly not be in their regular working hours.  This      may include marketing tasks, club displays and competitions.

 The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate administration abiliities which include good telephone manor, and IT skills.

 The successful candidate must hold at least a level 4 BG WA Coaching Award.

Congratulations to Elizabeth Packman

South Essex Gymnastics Club with like to say Congratulations to Elizabeth

Elizabeth Packman passed her Disability National Grades with a distinction on 24/11/2012 achieving brilliant marks for both her Ball and Rope routine. This was Elizabeth’s first National competition for which she was achieving marks on par with Junior and Senior gymnasts. She is a remarkable gymnast who’s hard work and determination has paid off and she is a huge potential for the future!

Sunday 25/11/2012 Elizabeth took part in British Rhythmic Disability Squad testing and had a fantastic day. Today we have had conformation that Elizabeth has been selected for the British National Performance Squad working at a high level to compete for Great Britain.

Girls ~ Essex County Team and Level 7 Invitational

Essex county team and Level 7 invitational

On Sunday 28th October South Essex gymnasts competed in the Essex team competition and the level 7 invitational. In the level 7 invitational competition Violet Clark was crowned champion winning the overall title, 1st Beam & 3rd bars. Jessie Millham was awarded with the overall bronze medal, 1st Floor & 3rd Vault. Elise Adeyemo also competed coming 2nd on Beam & 3rd on floor and Emily Hardy who came 2nd on Vault. Madison Jennings and Tyler Barnard also competed well in this competition.

There were two teams competing in the level 4 category. One consisted of Ania Lathrope, Ellie Hall, Keira Bainsfair and Megan Beard who competed well and the other involved Sophie Goodman, Angelina Neme, Robynne Denholm and Darcie Loman who were crowned Essex county team champions winning the gold. Two teams were also entered in the level 5 competition; one included Abby Forkner, Kerry King and Ashleigh Saunders and the other consisted of Jemimah Allen, Raniah John and Rebecca Manning who both competed well. In the level 2 competition Katie Jeffery, Georgia Butterworth, Francesca Turner , Bella Harris, Sophie Cash and reserve Isobelle Ager competed in the level 2 competition and came 2nd receiving the silver medal.
