Main achievements: The most successful British (WA) gymnast of 1990s

Member of British WA Squad from 1992 until 2000

Olympic Games: Atlanta 1996 & Sydney 2000

World Championships: competed in SIX World Championships between 1994 & 2000

European Championships: competed in Junior Euros (1993) & three Senior European Championships

(Floor finalist 1994 and  Vault finalist1998)

Commonwealth Games Brisbane 1994 & Kuala Lumpur 1998 (3 Gold Medals - Floor Champion 1994 & 98, 2 Silver)

British Championships: Junior Champion 1993 Senior Champion 1995 & 1999 and runner up in 1994, 1997, 1998 and 2000

English Championships: Champion 1995 runner up 1997 & 2000

Member of winning South Essex Team in British Team Championships 1998 and 2000

Special achievement: Following the 1999 World Championships, the FIG (Federation of International Gymnastics) added new elements into the Code of Points, and the uprise full turn or uprise 1½ turn was officially named the 'Reeder'. The skills were given a difficulty value of "D" meaning that they were recognised as very difficult elements.

2008 Annika is living in Twickenham and coaching at Heathrow Gymnastics Club.

Natasha Hibbitt

Main achievements:

Member of the junior and senior British Rhythmic Squad for 7 years.

European Group Championships

World Individual Championships

7th in the 1998 Commonwealth Games and competed in the ribbon final.

2008 Natasha is currently performing as Dancer/rhythmic gymnast/aerialist all over the world.

Nicola Willis

Main achievements:

Member of British WA Squad until 2004

Olympic Games: Athens 2004

World Championships:  2002 World Championships, finished 18th on vault and 19th on floor, Los Angeles 2003

European Championships: 2004 (Amsterdam)

Commonwealth Games: Manchester 2002 (sixth in the all-around and eighth on beam)

British Championships: 3rd all-around 2004, 4th all-around 2003 (claimed three gold medals on vault, floor and tied for first on bars - and the bronze on beam) 2002 Gold on Floor, Silver on Beam, Bronze on Bars and 4th on Vault

English Championships:

Member of winning South Essex Team in British Team Championships 1998 and 2000

2008 Nicola is completing her studyies at the University of Florida USA having retired from competitive gymnastics

Caroline Gilbert

Main achievements:

Member of British WA Squad until 2002

World Championships:

European Championships:

British Championships: 1998 Junior Silver Medallist (2nd Vault, Bars and Beam) 1999 Junior Champion (1st Bars, 2nd Beam)

English Championships: Champion 1999

Member of winning South Essex Team in British Team Championships 1998 and 2000

2008 Caroline is currently teaching primary school children in Devon

Paula Thomas

Main achievements:

Member of British WA Squad until 2000

Olympic Games: Sydney  2000

World Championships: 1999 China

European Championships:

British Championships: 1998 3rd Overall (3rd Vault & 2nd Floor)

English Championships: Silver medallist 1999

Member of winning South Essex Team in British Team Championships 1998 and 2000 (1st overall individual)

2008 Paula lives and coaches at City of Newcastle Gymnastics Club

Karen Grieves
