Rhythmic girls continue Group League improvement

RHYTHMIC Head Coach Verity Adams was pleased to see the South Essex girls continue their improvement in round two of the National & Elite Group League competition.

Five of the club’s teams were again in action at the event at Fenton Manor, in Stoke-on-Trent, in early October.

The first round was in June and the concluding round is between November 26-27 and each team’s top scores from two events are added together to give them their final standing in the league table.

SEGC’s Rainbow National Espoir team of Olivia Ansah, Katie Bardwell, Olivia Beech and Zoe Harrison followed up their second place from the summer by coming first in the latest round to give them a great chance of winning their section.

The Senior group of Chloe Adams, Maiya Butler, Kiera Martinson, Keira Miller and Rebecca Wright were third, and Juniors Zoe Broadbent, Drew Castle, Lucy Imamzade, Connie Miller, Jade Woollard and Zoe Harrison were fifth.

In the Elite Espoir section, the Purple group of Emily Hardy, Louise Imamzade, Rachel Lattimer and Josslyn Miller were fourth, and the Blue team of Louisa Duff, Isla Sewell-Moore, Francesca Foster and Alicia Barnes were fifth.

Verity said: “It was another very good showing from all of our girls as they all moved up one place from the last round.

“The Purple and Blue groups in particular showed a lot of improvement and our Rainbow team are on course for a top-two finish.”
