BRINN BEVAN has added European junior all-around bronze to the gold team medal he picked up earlier in the week.

Brinn won an exciting battle with Russia’s Valentin Starikov to reach the podium alongside Great Britain team-mate Nile Wilson, who took the gold.

Brinn produced the top rings and second best high bar and pommel routines of the day to finish with an overall score of 82.932 in Sofia.

He will now compete for more individual medals in the rings and parallel-bars finals on Sunday.

Brinn said: “I’m well happy. There were a few mistakes and I could have been better but I still have the bronze medal – which is fantastic.

“I knew it would be a close call but didn’t feel any pressure.

“We did amazingly as a team on Wednesday and that was the main aim so today I could go out there and do it for myself.”
