THE Essex Children’s University (ECU) has renewed its partnership with South Essex Gymnastics Club for another three years.
The ECU is part of the international Children’s University charity, which encourages pupils aged five to 14 to try new experiences, develop new interests and acquire new skills through activities outside of the school day.
The Essex group has a HQ in Colchester and campuses throughout the county and works with local organisations such as SEGC to provide opportunities for its young students.
Children are issued with a Passport to Learning and can take it to designated destinations in Essex and the UK to collect stamps in recognition of their learning as they go.
SEGC’s Administration Manager, Natasha Poulter, said: “We are very happy to have renewed our link with the Essex Children’s University, which is a terrific set-up for children in the county.
“We provide an excellent learning environment here at South Essex Gymnastics Club as well as fitness opportunities, team building and life skills which can be very useful for any youngster.
“We’d encourage any child enrolled in the Essex Children’s University project to bring in their books and we’d be happy to give them an environment to learn in – and give them their next stamp of course.”
