SEVERAL rhythmic groups and individual gymnasts have qualified for the 2018 British Championships.

The good news follows success at the Group Seeding and British Open events at Fenton Manor, Stoke-On-Trent, on the weekend of April 21-22.

Verity Adams, SEGC’s Head of Rhythmic Gymnastics, said: “Our Senior Group, the South Essex Eagles, have fought really hard now for three years to get to the British Championships so they are obviously elated and their coach Rebecca Bunce is over the moon.

“We also had the South Essex Robins Espoir Group achieving Elite League as well as entry into the British Championships.

“The South Essex Starlings and Falcons have made it into the National Group League, with the Starlings only just missing out on the Elite League.

“Milana Bernans will also be going to the British Championships as an individual and her coach Danielle Paul is thrilled by the news.

“And we are also delighted to sat that Rachel Lattimer, Josslyn Miller, Rhiann Richardson, Isobel Connah and Milana Bernans all passed the British Qualification Testing and have all achieved entry into the English Championships.”
